High in the mountains near Bogotá, Colombia, lies Alexandra Farms: the world’s largest grower of fresh-cut garden roses. With over 20 hectares across two farms, every rose here is grown with care, creativity, and a deep sense of purpose.
It all started in 2005, when founder Jose “Joey” R. Azout discovered David Austin Wedding Roses at a floral show in Amsterdam. Captivated by their romantic beauty, he returned home with a vision: to introduce garden roses to the floral world in a way no one had done before. From a two-hectare trial, Alexandra Farms has grown into a global leader, named after Joey’s daughter, Alexandra, adding a deeply personal touch to the story.
Today, the farm is powered by a passionate team of nearly 400 professionals, many of whom have been there since the beginning. From experienced sales managers to sustainability experts and biologists, the entire team works like a family, united by a love for beautiful flowers and responsible practices.
Alexandra Farms grows more than 80 rose varieties across four exclusive collections:

Sustainability is at the heart of everything Alexandra Farms does. The farm uses rainwater and runoff, recycles materials, composts organic waste, and avoids artificial lighting entirely. Through integrated pest management and hydroponic improvements, they’ve reduced pesticide use by over 50%, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Florverde certification confirms their high standards in both farming and staff care.
